Bug out bag- is a portable
kit that contains the items one would require to survive for seventy-two hours* when
evacuating from a disaster. It is also known as a 72-hour kit,* a grab bag,* a battle box, and other popular names include GO Bag and GOOD (Get Out Of
Dodge)* bag. The focus is on evacuation, rather than long-term
survival, distinguishing the bug-out bag from a survival kit, a boating
or aviation emergency kit, or a fixed-site disaster supplies kit.
The term "bug-out bag" is related to, and possibly derived from, the "bail-out bag" emergency kit many military aviators
carry. The concept passed into wide usage among other military and law enforcement personnel, though the "bail-out bag" is
as likely to include emergency gear for going into an emergency situation as for escaping an emergency.
Ladies- think of it as the bag you pack to have ready when your pregnant, Just in case you have to go fast to hospital to
have the baby.
We live our lives trying to stay ahead. Then ___________ happens and you find yourself not knowing what to do.
How many times do you see this in the news? What would you do if it happens to you? The _________ could be any disaster, world
event or freak storm, or like here in Texas Sept. 2011 brush fires. If your answer is " I don't know " then your not
like me at all. I have a bug out plan. A bag packed in my closet, and ready to go. I can live anywhere and survive with that
bag. In todays times, it is a good idea to be prepared.
